Covid Catch-Up Premium 2021-22
The DfE has allocated £650 million to be spent on ensuring all students across the county have the chance to catch up swiftly following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We have used guidance from the Education and Endowment Foundation and their 3-tiered approach to identify the following priorities for the coming year to enable this to happen:

The 16 to 19 Tuition Fund 2021 to 2022 Academic Year
The 16 to 19 Tuition Fund is available to the school to support particular groups of students who have had their learning disrupted by Covid-19 in Years 12 and 13.
NTC will use this funding to provide individual and small group support for students who have not yet achieved a grade 4 or above in English and/or maths or are from an economically disadvantaged background. Students with SEND, at risk of NEET or without a 5 in English and/or maths will also be considered for this support.
The provision will not be limited to tuition for English and maths; we will also support eligible students who need additional support for their KS5 study. This tuition will be in addition to students’ normal timetabled lessons, will be in groups of upto five students and will be delivered by teachers and learning support staff.
This support will be based on an individual action plan, developed in coordination with the students classroom teachers to ensure it improves their achievement and progression beyond Sixth Form.
