We have had a lot of fun preparing for our whole school celebration of Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’. On the last two days of term, we have dressed up as characters from the novella and the staff have taken part in acts of kindness in keeping with the main theme of the text, such as a Kindness Secret Santa where we have said some very nice things about each other when having our annual staff
Christmas lunch. Our displays have hooked the students into the story as images of Scrooge and the ghosts haunt our teaching zones and the boys have been very busy, too, writing their letters of the past, present and future, reflecting on past mistakes and how they would rectify this in their days to come. They have been taking part in ‘A Christmas Carol’ themed lessons that have been in place across the school.
