World Book Day
Where to start?
NTC really does take World Book Day very seriously! Yes, we dress very silly but, actually, the message we send and the response from our boys shows that we, as a school, are reading. We are reading an array of genres and there is no end to their imaginations.
This year, each Community had a selected theme and students’ were asked to dress up as a character from this theme or another character from a book – the day was a huge success.
Each student was given book vouchers to enable them to purchase books from a book stall in school throughout the day. Books were being bought all day long and this is what World Book Day is all about, encouraging our children that reading for pleasure should be a life-long passion. I would also like to give special thanks to the School Council members who planned and presented all of the World Book Day assemblies.
