Appeals Information
Year 7 Admission Appeal Process – September 2021 Intake
If your son is due to start secondary school in September 2021 you can appeal between 1 March -28 March 2021 to guarantee that your appeal will be heard by 14 June 2021. For applications made in the normal admission round, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals. For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeals being lodged.
Appeal documentation should be submitted to Ann Walden, Senior Inclusion Officer either at the school address or information can be emailed to waldena@ntc.kent.sch.uk. Please detail your wish to appeal and your reasons supporting this decision, along with any documentation that you feel can be used as evidence in this process. Please note, lodging an appeal with us does not automatically add you to our waiting list for reallocation. To ensure this happens, you will need to contact Kent County Council directly. This can be done, through the link here.
You will be contacted by the school confirming our receipt of the appeal. You will then be invited to an appeal hearing, notification of which you will receive ten school days prior to the hearing’s scheduled date. You will also receive an appeal pack.
