JoshuaGoing Beyond in ICT
Joshua
An aspiring software developer, Joshua has a passion for computing and has been in awe of the Computer Science & ICT Department since joining in September 2021. Through his lessons and the school's GLAS Programme, Joshua is enhancing his basic ICT knowledge whilst developing new skills such as programming.
He praises the school for its modern facilities and resources to support his learning and is looking forward to what the next few years bring, with challenging lessons and enjoying all the opportunities and experiences NTC have to offer.
I found the prospect of moving to secondary school quite daunting, but NTC went to great lengths to make sure we were settled in and found the experience exciting, not scary.

CruzGoing Beyond in Sport
Cruz
NTC has shown Cruz that with hard work, dedication and appreciation you can accomplish anything. He lives out these qualities not only in his studies, but on the football pitch too which is where his future lies. Cruz admires the PE Department here at NTC, from the dedicated lessons and range of clubs to the specialist teachers, incredible grounds and unique facilities.
Walking through the school gates for the first time was a little scary, with it being so big! But don't worry, you soon get used to it. I was also nervous that I didn't know anyone, being the only one from my primary school. However, I met so many new people through the buddy system who I now call my friends.

HarrisonGoing Beyond in Sport
Harrison
Harrison is a young man who has completely turned a new leaf, and shows what someone can to do when they are resilient, positive and determined to succeed. Starting year 7 not getting along with school, he now is a brilliant student, with high school engagement and many rewards to his name. Harrison aspires to become a mechanic and run his own business.
I would recommend NTC because of the sense of community. The people here are one of the main reasons why this school is so enjoyable.

LucaGoing Beyond in Media
Luca
Luca has grown into a confident, strong, diligent individual who aspires to do well. He believes that NTC has helped him to thrive academically, but also allows him to be a well-rounded student. From discovering the past in History to participating in a range of clubs, his time at NTC so far been filled with opportunity.
Luca's proudest moment was playing a leading role in both Monty Python's Spamalot and Aladdin. His experience in both Drama and Media has inspired him to pursue a career in the media industry, potentially working in a TV studio as a videographer. He loves the idea of working in an industry where every day is a different, you can meet new people, and see an array of talents.
I would recommend NTC because their approach to teaching and learning is unique compared to any other school I know - the open spaces and collaborative work helps us to become caring, curious and creative learners.

NiiGoing Beyond in Business
Nii
Nii is one of NTC's budding entrepreneurs who dreams of setting up his own business one day. From engaging in extracurricular activities and events to his role as Basketball Captain, Nii has developed resilience, leadership skills, teamwork skills, interpersonal skills and confidence, all of which will support him in running a successful business.
The freedom that NTC gives us students to try new things and achieve both creatively and academically are just some of the school's strengths. Beyond my lessons, I've enjoyed making memories with friends during after school clubs and on school trips. Our camping trip in Year 7 is certainly one of my highlights.
