SEND and Inclusion
All students at Northfleet Technology College are entitled to be valued equally and to enjoy respect as individuals.
The SEND Strategy was widely consulted on and one of its key aims is to ensure Northfleet Technology College can successfully implement the changes for SEN set out in the Children and Families Act, including the move away from statements to integrated education, health and care plans.
At Northfleet Technology College, we are committed to offering an inclusive curriculum to secure the best possible outcome for all students whatever their needs or abilities.
Staff have high expectations of students with special educational needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing appropriate learning & teaching experiences within a supportive pastoral framework.
We aspire to nurture students’ expectation and develop their confidence and ambition for high attainment and achievement. We aim to celebrate their successes and to foster their development as independent learners and responsible citizens, in partnership with families and the wider community.
