Our Governors

Welcome to our Governors page.

Our Governors play a vital role in shaping the vision, policies and strategic direction of Northfleet Technology College (NTC). They are committed to ensuring high standards of education and student success.  Their responsibilities include:

  • Appointing the Headteacher
  • Working alongside our Senior Leadership Team to set strategic vision
  • Overseeing school policies and finances
  • Ensuring academic excellence and student welfare, monitoring progress towards goals

Our Governors

There are five Governor Types:

  • Co-opted
  • Foundation
  • Local Authority
  • Parent
  • Staff

This range of Governors provides a broad depth of knowledge and a balanced selection of viewpoints which represent all of NTC's stakeholders.

The term of office is four years and Governors can be re-elected for further terms.

Each Sub Group meets approximately three times a year, as a minimum. We also have a number of Governor Panels dealing with pay review, discipline, appeals and staff issues.
