Y11 after school revision sessions
Why so early?
Just the word 'Exams' can make us anxious, let alone having to sit them. The truth is, exams are just a tool to test your level of understanding of a subject.
Revision can help you remember facts, figures, topics and methodologies already covered and if done correctly will improve your confidence and reduce anxiety - you will be well prepared for your exams.
Says who?
In 1885, mathematician Hermann Ebbinghaus developed the forgetting curve. The curve demonstrated how quickly information is forgotten if we don't attempt to retain it. Learners will forget learned knowledge in a matter of days, unless reviewed. Studies suggest that humans forget approx. 50% of new information within an hour of learning it, that figure rises to 70% within 24 hours!
The good news is, ongoing revision, as you learn can dramatically improve your information recall and take your marks to a whole new level!
It's never too early to start revising. Join us for English and Maths after school revision sessions each week - strengthen your core and get exam fit!
