Wild Wales!
On Monday, 12 Intrepid(ish) explorers set off from NTC for a week of wild adventures in Wales. After a 6 hour drive to Aberdovey, copious snacks and a dash of 'Barbie Girl' they made up their beds and went for a 'jog and dip'. After reluctantly getting in the water, Mr Brown had to drag them out of the estuary!
Tuesday and Wednesday were expedition days. The team climbed Cribin Fawr, a Welsh mountain (yes, a real one that's over 659m above sea level), slept in a wooden shed and ate army rations. To accompany their rations, they tried sphagnum moss, gorse and wood sorrel! After climbing back down and unpacking they were surprisingly still full of beans so headed back to the river for a powerboat ride. They then jumped off and swam to shore - twice! In the evening everyone tried a trapeze jump, even Mrs Griggs!
Thursday was the last full day in Averdovey, the team canoed up the estuary, jumped off a wooden jetty and had a lot of fun in the sand dunes.
We wish everyone safe travels as they are on their way home for a well-earned rest!
