Level 2 Pathway

This pathway is a one year programme that will suit students who are not quite ready for Level 3 study and need a little extra time to develop their academic and personal skills in preparation for their next step.

Some of us often require a little more time to develop our confidence and interpersonal skills before we reach higher. We understand that not everyone reaches the same level at the end of Year 11.

Our Level 2 Pathway is designed to provide direction, growth and navigate those people on a journey towards the following destinations:

Level 3 vocational courses
Entry/Intermediate/Advanced Level Apprenticeship
Employment with training

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

The subjects students study will vary depending on their Year 11 GSCE results.

If students did not achieve a Grade 4 in Mathematics, then they will enrol onto the GCSE Mathematics Resit course.

If students achieved a Grade 3 in English Language, then they will enrol onto the GSCE English Resit course, however if they achieved below a Grade 3, then they will enrol onto the English Functional Skills course.

Students studying a Level 2 English and/or Mathematics qualification will also enrol onto our Level 2 BTEC Business and Level 2 BTEC Personal Growth & Wellbeing courses.

Level 2 students may also join the Basketball or Football Academy alongside their studies.

These courses are for one year.
