Community Hour & Learning Conversations

Community Hour and Learning Conversations are compulsory time for all Year 12 and 13 students.

Community hour

Community Hour takes place weekly, on Monday P1 (8:50-9:50am).

The students required alternate between terms - this term is Year 13 and focused on UCAS applications and personal statements.

Year 12 will be required to attend Community Hour during Term 2.

Non attendance will affect your overall attendance figure.

Students will need to bring their laptops (with charge) each week in order to make the most of these sessions.

Learning converstaions

Learning Conversations are a meeting with your Learning Coach.

These are not timetabled like in KS3 & 4 but will be organised by your Learning Coach so keep an eye on your emails. You will have at least 1 Learning Conversation a term, however your Learning Coach may decide to organise a follow-up meeting if required.

These sessions are the perfect opportunity for you to have 1-to-1 professional discussions with your Learning Coach, getting help and advise. Students will need to bring their laptops (with charge) each week in order to make the most of these sessions.
