The level 3 Sport course consists of 4 mandatory units of which are externally assessed and 3 optional units. The Anatomy & Physiology unit is the written exam and the Fitness Training & Programming for Health, Sport & Well-Being is a controlled assessment where the task is set and marked externally.
The 3 optional units are composed of several assignments which cover the assessment criteria in a variety of ways. Students work with the teacher and independently to complete the work. Students studying this course need to be well organised, good at working to deadlines and be interested in Sports or leisure. The course units are as follow:
