The course covers the following units, which are then assessed through a combination of the controlled assessment and final examination;
Number and Algebra
Descriptive Statistics
Logic, Sets and Probability
Statistical Applications
Geometry and Trigonometry
Mathematical Models
Calculus
During the two years students complete a controlled assessment with a title of their choice. The controlled assessment functions on the application of a selection of the units above, demonstrating their comprehension of the units through an investigative platform.
Students MUST buy their own Scientific Calculator, approximate cost is £50.
Entry requirements:
GCSE Grade 4+ in English & Maths, with three other subjects C or above
