There are 4 mandatory Units:
Principles and Applications of Science 1- assessed by written exam, set and marked externally
Practical Scientific Procedures and Techniques- assignment based, set and marked internally
Science Investigation Skills- Task set externally and externally marked
Laboratory Techniques and their Application- assignment based, set and marked internally
Two Optional Units:
Physiology of Human Body Systems- assignment based, set and marked internally
Human Regulation and Reproduction- assignment based, set and marked internally
Students studying this course need to be well organised, good at working to deadlines and be interested in Science.
BTEC Nationals are widely recognised by industry and higher education as the signature vocational qualification at Level 3. They provide progression to the workplace either directly or via study at a higher level.

You will have to complete a range of units, be organised, take some assessments that we will set and mark, and keep a portfolio of your assignments. Entry requirements: Grade 4 or above at GCSE Science, Core and/or Additional Science
