Unit 1 – Exploring Business –  this is an introductory unit which is internally assessed, studying the purpose of different businesses, their structure and the effect of the external environment.

Unit 2 – Developing a Marketing Campaign – In this unit learners will gain skills relating to and an understanding of how a marketing campaign is developed. This unit is assessed under supervised conditions.

Unit 3 – Personal and Business Finance – An externally marked written examination.

Unit 22 – Managing an Event – learners will work as part of a small group to plan, coordinate and manage a business or social enterprise event and evaluate the skills gained.

There will be two further optional units undertaken to make up the six units of work, these may be different each year.

The internally assessed units will consist of several assignments which cover the assessment criteria. Students work with the teacher and independently to complete the work.
