English Writing Competition
We had a fantastic response to our writing competition from our Year 7 and Year 8 students. The stories were judged by some of our students who study IB English in the 6th Form. The stories were so good it was very difficult to choose a winner but Harry in Year 8 blew us away with his brilliant story about slavery, closely followed by Kaloyan in Year 7, and Samuel also in Year 7. Our runners up were Charlie, Sammy, Borys, Lewis, Daniel and Daniel. Congratulations to these winners and I look forward to reading your latest entries for Term 6.
In addition, Mr Gardiner and Ms Watts had a brilliant day with our PIXL Debate participants, Cassius, Dennis and Christian who were particularly impressive when using their skills of rhetoric to debate with other schools over some challenging topics. They represented the school with resilience and although they did not win, Mr Gardiner said they came very close and that they deserved huge recognition for taking part in a gruelling, nerve – wracking and very long day. Well done boys!
